Immersive 3D Holoscopic System

ecent film releases such as Avatarhave revolutionized cinema bycombining 3D technology andcontent production and realactors,leading to the creation of a new genre at theoutset of the 2010s. The success of 3D cinemahas led several major consumer electronicsmanufacturers to launch 3D-capable televisionsand broadcasters to offer 3D content. Today’s3DTV technology is based on stereo vision,which presents left- and right-eye imagesthrough temporal or spatial multiplexing toviewers wearing a pair of glasses. The nextstep in 3DTV development will likely be a multi-view autostereoscopic imaging system, whichwill record and present many pairs of videosignals on a display and will not require viewersto wear glasses.
