Application Researching of Container Technology on Satellite Control Center System

With the continuous development of spaceflight industry in recent years, the number of on-orbit satellites is rapidly increasing, the scale of the Satellite Control Center (SCC) is becoming larger and larger, and the cloud technology has been applied completely. Although the cloud technology plays an important role on improving system flexibility, reliability and recoverability of SCC, there are still some insufficiency to be solved at present, such as the virtual host configuration is yet complex, and the complexity and difficulty of system maintenance is rapidly increasing as more and more kinds of platform have been deployed. As a kind of lightweight virtualization technology, container technology encapsulates the business application, and runs on the operating system directly. The delivery and deploy time of SCC system can be reduced, the critical business application can be lightweight isolated, the system migration and extension ability can be improved according to characteristics of container technology. This paper presents an initial conception of the application of container technology on the current SCC system, and the qualitative and quantitative analysis of SCC system running critic technical indicators on the container is carried out, this gives a good way and a good reference model to the subsequent development and construction of the SCC system.
