Method and terminal for dynamically shielding frequency band

Proposed are a method and terminal for dynamically shielding a frequency band. After starting up, a terminal initiates a network information search process toward a frequency band supported thereby; after having found a wireless network, the terminal reads the broadcast information about the found wireless network; when finishing reading the broadcast information, the terminal judges the current area where it is located according to the information carried in the broadcast information; and the terminal dynamically shields a working frequency band according to the area information. In the technical solution of the present invention, only modification in the terminal is required, while no modification is required at the network side, bringing great convenience to the operator to deploy services; the operator can use different frequency bands according to different service types; and when the operator adds a new frequency band, the working pressure of the previous frequency bands is effectively reduced and the newly added network segment is effectively used, improving the utilization rate of the resources.
