Knowledge Representation and Reasoning Method Based on Relation Database

To obtain an extensive knowledge representation and flexible high-efficient reasoning method is a long-range goal in the research of the expert system.A method of knowledge representation and reasoning based on relation database is discussed. This method introduces the technology of relation database which is developing rapidly into expert system, and utilizes hardly unrestricted field count and abundant field type of relation database to express expert knowledge and organize reasoning logic. The goal of extensive representation and high-efficient reasoning is achieved. This method can be applied to expert systems of every field extensively. In the application instance of the expert system to traditional Chinese medicine, the satisfactory result is obtained.
