REVIEW OF SELECTED LITERATURE RELATED TO SEATING DISCOMFORT. SPECIAL REPORT

This literature review incorporates published research of anatomical, behavioral, biomechanical, and physiological studies related to automotive seating comfort. It summarizes key literature related to seating design and criteria and reviews comfort issues in automotive seating. The report is divided into five sections: Driving Posture, Pressure Distribution and Hemodynamics, Vibration, Subjective Evaluation, and Practice in Industry.
