1.3 /spl mu/m EAM-integrated DFB lasers for 40 Gb/s very-short-reach application

1.3 /spl mu/m EAM-DFBs for 40 Gb/s VSR applications have been developed. 40 Gb/s NRZ operation with 9.77 dB extinction ratio have been successfully achieved and no eye degradation was observed after 2 km SSMF transmission.
