Research on IMM Algorithm with Maneuvering Target's Variable Sampling Period Filtering

An alterable sampling period filtering algorithm based on IMM algorithm is proposed.With the alogrithm,several typical sampling periods are set in advance and then each predictive error covariance is worked out in each given period. The next samlping is carried out once the predictive error covariance goes beyond the limit.The algorithm relative to fixed sampling can not only ensure the tracking accuracy,but aslo reduce the the quantity of the sampling time to save the radar resource.
