Multiple source location: The signal subspace approach

The multiple sourcehation problem is solved lor a general array geometry in which the incident wavefields may be a mixture of coherent and incoherent sources that are broadband and (or) narrowband. The wlution is obtained by adapting the author's narrowband algorithm which entaik representing a aet of Jignel eigenuedom ag a linear combination of ormy steoeng vectors. Using this property, a generic descent algrithmie approach is developed for estimating the wauefeld direction+& arrivals. High resolution directiondf-arrival estimates that arise from this procedure are empirically found to be unbiased and to have low variance.
