Research on improving the experimental teaching effect on microcomputer technology and application

" Microcomputer Technology and Application",which contains two parts of teaching contents:microcomputer principles and 51 single-chip microcomputers,is a professional basic curriculum for students majored in automation.Due to the open and practical characteristics in this curriculum, only through constant practice shall students be able to master the theoretical knowledge and arouse their studying interests.According to the traditional teaching method, students would conduct experiments on microcomputer principles at first, and then carry out experiments on the 51 single-chip microcomputer. The differences in CPUs,instruction systems and hardware structures between microcomputers and 51 single-chip microcomputers make experiments for single-chip microcomputers even harder to conduct.Considering less time being spent on experimental curriculums in traditional teaching methods,it is important to specify the differences and relationships between microcomputer principles and 51 single-chip microcomputers, which is also the key to improve the experimental teaching effect. In this paper,a comparison-based method that deals with the reform of teaching method for " Microcomputer Technology and Application" is proposed.Using this approach,a desired result with a good exercise for improving the practical abilities of students,as well as the teaching effect, can be achieved.
