Compensation of Mode Coupling in MDM Transmission System Using Digital Optical Phase Conjugation

We propose and demonstrate the compensation of mode coupling in MDM systems by using the digital optical phase conjugation technique. We achieve BERs better than 10-4 without electrical MIMO processing in a FMF link having large mode coupling.
