A Method for Extrapolation of Missing Digital Audio Data

A method for extrapolating missing or corrupted samples in a digital audio data stream is presented. The method involves spectral extrapolation to synthesize an estimate of the missing material using a sinusoidal representation. The method takes adwantage of the relatively solw variation in the time variant spectral amplitude envelope in comparison with the relatively rapid oscillations of the time domain signal
