EALBA: Energy Aware Load Balancing Algorithm for IoT Networks

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a paradigm and combines many a technology. In IoT, the devices communicate with each other and to the sink. Since millions of devices are going to be connected to the internet and the devices / nodes / sensors / objects are energy constrained, energy is an important factor in IoT. Load balancing protocol plays a critical role in designing IoT environment as the devices are constraint in nature. This paper deals with energy aware load balancing algorithm for IoT network using event rate. The life time of the devices are enhanced in this proposed method.
