Analysis and design of wireless network for electric energy data acuquisition system in China

In electric energy data acquisition system, communication is an essential part. Without it, the functions of the system will not achieve. This paper first analyzes the architecture and communication requirements of the system. Next, advantages and disadvantages of various wireless communication technologies are discussed; Beidou satellite technology and Time Division Long Term Evolution (TD-LTE) technology are selected to meet the requirements of electric energy data acquisition system. Then, the principles of Beidou satellite and TD-LTE technology are discussed, and based on these technologies, a wireless network for electric energy data acquisition system is proposed. At last, a trail network was built in Xinjiang province; the test results show that the proposed wireless network can meet the requirements of data acquisition system in different scenarios.
