IGSPICE simulation of induction machines with saturable inductances

A novel approach to the dynamic analysis of induction machines with saturable inductances is presented. The machine dynamics are represented by a set of nonlinear time-varying differential equations. The machine parameters (i.e. saturable inductances) are modeled by closed-form nonlinear functions. The equations which define the machine operation are modeled by d and q equivalent circuits. The equivalent circuits are simulated using the IGSPICE software package. >
