Best Selection for Working Depth of the Horizontal Line Array

The horizontal line array is the common type for receiving and detecting of underwater acoustic signal.It is widely used in direction-of-arrival estimation and target detection.Ocean acoustic environment has direct and important influence upon the use of the horizontal line array.The calculation results are given in different working depths.It is shown that the best working depth can be obtained by calculating array signal processing based on normal-mode theory.The research result has important application value in the detecting of towed line array sonar.
