Enduring Vigilance (EV)

Manned, rigid wing, high endurance (>12hrs) amphibian aircraft are deployed in squadrons of 8-12 for 24/7 Border Patrol, Search and Rescue (24/7BPSAR). Enduring Vigilance (EV) is realized through the 50 year service life of the aircraft, engine and continual sensor and software upgrades by the manufacturer and systems integrator LMI to prevent obsolescence. The Concept of Operations (CONOPS) deploys EV Squadrons with sensors to patrol maximum borders of 1,600Km (1,000 Mi). EV Squadrons create patrol corridors 65Km wide on sea/land borders at a Total Operating Cost (TOC) <; 14K€/Km/Yr for universal affordability. EV supports the age-old adage; “One cannot control what one cannot patrol” with aircraft and GPS navigation to fly precise flight plans, within country borders for border security and management. All 193 UN Nations need border security, but the wide spread in Defense budgets; $592 Billion (USA) vs. $70 Million (PNG - Papua New Guinea), puts 24/7BPSAR out of reach for >90% of UN Member Nations, creating border instabilities that compromise the safety of millions.
