Alleinerziehend und krebskrank – was macht das mit dem Kind? Psychische Symptome und Lebensqualität von Kindern aus Kind- und Elternperspektive

Zusammenfassung Hintergrund: Kinder von körperlich kranken Eltern sowie Kinder von gesunden alleinerziehenden Eltern weisen psychische Symptome und geringere Lebensqualität auf. Methode: Im Querschnittsdesign wurden N=47 Kinder von krebskranken Alleinerziehenden und N=135 Kinder von krebskranken Müttern in Partnerschaft mit dem SDQ und KIDSCREEN im Selbst- und Fremdurteil untersucht. Ergebnisse: Es zeigten sich keine signifikanten Unterschiede zwischen Kindern Alleinerziehender und Kindern mit Eltern in Partnerschaft. Innerhalb der Untersuchungsstichprobe zeigten Kinder von 11–17 Jahren signifikant mehr Verhaltensprobleme als Kinder von 4–10 Jahren. Die Differenzen zwischen Fremd- und Selbsturteil unterschieden sich bei der Einschätzung der psychischen Symptomatik. Diskussion: Häufigere psychische Probleme bei älteren Kindern von alleinerziehenden krebskranken Müttern können darauf hindeuten, dass sich die psychische Belastung in Form von psychischen Symptomen erst im Entwicklungsverlauf mit Latenz ausbildet.
