A New Rate Compatible MET-LDPC Code

In order to increase the throughput, the wireless communication system needs to be adaptive in adjusting the rate and code length of error correction codes according to channel conditions. A hierarchical extended algorithm based on the multi-edge structure of the Multi- Edge Type Low Density Parity Check is proposed to obtain the rate compatible MET-LDPC code over a code rate range from 0. 2 to 0. 5. Simulation over AWGN channels show that the proposed RC-Met-LDPC code has superior performance on frame error rate and throughput in the HARQ communication system.
