Hand evaluation of woven terry fabric

The hand of woven terry fabric gained its importance due to the today's demand for quality. It was felt that subjective hand evaluations could not fulfil our purpose, therefore, an objective evaluation of terry fabric hand has been devised. This has led to the development of special hand equations for the woven terry fabric. The process of development of primary and total hand equations has been described in this chapter. A new surface sensor—KES-FB4—has also been developed. The experimental verification of the results has also been described in the current chapter.
