Part Testing of the "MOL" Stand for the "BAIKAL" Project

The project of the electric generator " Baikal " for production of 10-15 MJ of soft X-ray radiation is considered. The X-ray radiation arises at compression of a wire array at a current pulse of ~ 50 MA for 100-150 nanoseconds. The "MOL" stand, a prototype of the future module of the "Baikal" generator, is created to investigate and optimize the generation circuit of an electric pulse. Some part of the "MOL" stand circuit are tested at separate installations. The magnetic compressor is checked on the "PUMA" installation in TRINITI and the plasma opening switch is tested in Kurchatov Institute. The part of the "MOL" circuit including an inductive storage INI and a magnetic amplifier is investigated and optimized in TRINITI.
