Multicenter comparison of PET/CT examination protocols by image quantitative parameters

Quantitative assessment of diagnostic PET images must be accurate, repeatable, and reproducible on different PET scanners. Hence, it is necessary to develop a simple quality control (QC) method which will be widely available. This study was to assess quantitative parameters of QC of diagnostic patient PET images. Quantitative image parameters of QC (image noise, SNR, CNR) obtained on various PET/CT scanners with the different examination protocols were considered, analyzed, and compared. Parameters were also compared with patients anthropometric characteristics and injected activity. As a result, CNR and SNR were proposed as promising image QC parameters.
