Numerical system of numerical weather forecastoperation in Wuhan region

The weather forecast system IBM RS6000/SP in Wuhan regional meteorological center is introduced. The system architecture, the network and the disc memory system are explained. The numerical weather forecast system is established using the IBM RS6000/SP. The numerical results under the series and parallel computation system are analyzed.
