Poincare diagram based analysis of vital signals

Analysis of the vital signals is of great importance for monitoring a patient's condition. The most frequently analyzed vital signal is electrocardiogram. There are many methods in literature that give different insights into heart variability. This paper provides parameters calculated on signals from two referent Physionet databases. The first one contains signals without pathological indications, while the other contains those with pathological indications. All parameters are calculated in time domain. Nonlinear methods provide better insight into analyzed signals. Hence, the Poincare diagram is constructed over all electrocardiograms from the database.
