Research on the Axle Stress Spectrum Considering Extra Wheelflat Impact Forces

A simplified formula to compute wheelflats impact forces has been introduced on the basis of the low joint impact forces formula and wheelflats impact velocity formula.To compute the stresses of dangerous axle sections with wheelflats impact,according to the Koettgen pseudo stress method,the assembly of horizon reaction forces and vertical reaction forces of right and left wheels were decoupled with impact forces,and they were analyzed separately with linear FEM.And then,the stresses components of them were superimposed and used to compute the local stress and strain history by means of the Neuber notch correcting arithmetic.According to the numerical emulation methodology and the method expounded above,the stress spectrum of axle dangerous sections with wheelflats impact were computed.It can be used to predict the fatigue reliability.
