Ad-Hoc Radial Visualization of SCORM Objects with Extended Search and Keywords Handling

This paper presents a novel, mash-up web service amending the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) objects’ presentation. It is designed to be used on its own or as complementary visualization in Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other SCORM runtimes. As a proof-of-concept, a SpicyNodes-geared radial visualization of the extracted semantic-, keyword-, and index structures is built by parsing the objects’ internal content and activities organizations, Learning Object Metadata (LOM) notations, HTML’s content, structuring tags, hyperlinks and metadata.
