Efficiency Optimization Control of IPMSM Considering Varying Machine Parameters

In order to further improve the efficiency of permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) drive, this paper has proposed a simple and effective efficiency optimization control (EOC) strategy for interior permanent magnet synchronous machines (IPMSMs), which is based on the loss model and has considered the compensation of varying machine parameters, such as inductance and equivalent circuit resistance. Simulation results show that this method can achieve a higher efficiency compared with the maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) control which has also considered the variation of machine parameters.
