A method of access control, comprising: using an access barrier provided with a controller that allows selective access; at least one administration entity generating credentials identity and proof of identity, wherein the credentials include a final value and a date, wherein the final value is obtained by applying, several times, a one way function to a random value, each one of the tests associated with a particular time interval, wherein different proofs are obtained by applying the one way function to the random value a different number of times, wherein a proof to be presented to the driver at a given time, is the result of applying the one-way function to a test to be presented to the controller in the future; the controller receives the identity credential at least one of the tests corresponding to the access attempt by a user; in response to the access attempt by the user, the controller determines if access is presently authorized by applying the one way function to at least one of the tests, a number of times and comparing the result with the final value, corresponding number times a duration of time from the date associated with the credentials and whether access is currently authorized, the controller authorizes access.
