Bridge damage identification by dynamic response of passing vehicle

In order to evaluate the bridge damage, this paper presents a detection method from theported bridge based on dynamichod, the bridge is considered as Euler beam element ande is modeled as an one-degree-freedom system with three parameters (mass,stiffness and damping), the reduction of bending stiffness of each element is defined as damage be realized based on the combination of least-rization technique from vehicle acceleration measurement. Theesults indicate that the identified damage is sensitive to vehicle parameters, the vehiclets heavily, the identified errors rise withness and noise level. 5 tabs, 2 figs, 9 refs.
