Performance evaluation of the ITSUMO mobility protocols for RTP/UDP multimedia sessions across subnet boundaries

Advances in connectivity technology and wide area wireless packet networking are creating a need for network mobility solutions that allow users to maintain active sessions across network boundaries. This paper discusses the Internet Technologies Supporting Mobile Operations (ITSUMO) network mobility protocols for supporting active session handoffs across subnet boundaries. Performance results and analysis for multimedia RTP/UDP sessions are presented.
