A laser system for the TESLA photo-injector

A conceptual design for a solid-state laser system with output pulse parameters suitable to drive the photocathode of TESLA test facility is presented. General design considerations to overcome problems resulting from the unusual temporal pulse structure of the TESLA test facility are discussed.
