DISTORTION CORRECTION OF DKI DATA: AFFINE APPROACH

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx In this work, the performance of FMRIB’s (Functional MRI of the Brain Oxford Center’s) Linear Registration Tool (FLIRT) [1] is evaluated with respect to motion and distortion correction of diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) [2] data. FLIRT is tested on two DKI datasets, Subject1 and Subject2, which are heavily distorted by motion and eddy currents artefacts. For both datasets, three similarity and three model-related indices are used to evaluate the results of motion and distortion correction and to compare them with the case when no correction was performed.
