Modified multilevel thresholding Otsu method for image segmentation

In this paper,a fast multilevel thresholding algorithm for image segmentation was proposed.The appropriate thresholding research space could be attained by means of transforming the histogram with the right scale wavelet.Then,the quasi-threshold values were determined by using the Genetic Algorithm(GA).The model of bound histogram could be received by the way of using the quasi-threshold values.Last,the segmentation thresholds could be attained by using the golden section method.The simulation results show that this algorithm is very well in improving the speed,and good segmentation results can be received.
