완성계 사장교의 극한거동에 대한 연구

The griders and pylons of cable stayed bridges are subjected to not only bending moments but also additional axial compressive forces due to the horizontal components of cable forces. Because of these axial forces, the girders and pylons show nonlinear behaviors. In addition, the excessive live loads can make plastic hinge of some elements, and this causes the loss of stiffness of structural system. Therefore, to analyze ultimate behavior, nonlinear analysis should be conducted. In the Korea domestic design specification, however, the method of linear elastic eigen value analysis is suggested so that the engineers cannot consider the nonlinearity of cable stayed bridges. Hence, in this paper, nonlinear parametric study is conducted in order to investigate the ultimate behavior of steel cable stayed bridges.
