Traditional LED street lamp driver generally consists of three-stage structure with some disadvantages such as complicated structure, low efficiency, poor reliability and short life. In order to improve these, a half-bridge resonant LED driver is designed. The driver adopts PFC +LLC integrated two-stage structure, the PFC circuit adopts the UC1852 chip which works in Boost mode. The LLC half-bridge resonant circuit uses soft switch technology to reduce switch loss and improve the efficiency of the whole machine. The UCC25710 chip made by TI Company was selected to realize PWM dimming. Furthermore, considering the installation environment of the driver, lightning protection and surge protection are necessary. A 120 W LED street lamp driver prototype with 99% efficiency, 0.99 PF is built up to verify the theoretical analysis. It can drive high-power lighting load stably, and have good PWM dimming performance.
