Modelling and Control of Wind Turbine Based on Hybrid System

Focusing on hybrid system typical feature of wind turbine,based on the theory of hybrid automata and mixed logical dynamics(MLD),a kind of hybrid model of wind turbine was built,and the hybrid control system based on automata model was designed.An example of a 300 MW variable speed and pitch wind turbine was simulated.Results show that the hybrid automata model can implement the global simulation of wind turbine,the designed hybrid control system can fulfill the global control demand,and the predictive control based on MLD can optimize power output.This demonstrates validity and practicability of hybrid system theory applying in the field of wind power.
