A study on testing the financial performance indicators of select companies with special reference to Indian tyre industry a comparative approach

Operational efficiency of a firm has become a login to enter in to the world of hyper competition. Many firms are vying with each other not only to create efficiency but also to sustain in that. A firm's operational efficiency partially depends on the country with which it operates. When a country witnesses a strong growth in infrastructure, a firm could get leverage by the way of taking cost advantage of growth in infrastructure activities of the country. In this context this paper has an attempt to evaluate the financial performance of firms belonging to Indian tyre Industry, which in turn has a direct link to the country's economic development. Since liquidity, profitability, leverage and activity ratios are considered to be a good indicator of showing the financial health of a firm; this research paper brings an assessment over financial health of select companies in the sector.
