Code-Orthogonalized Transmitted-Reference Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Wireless Communication System

In this paper, a Code-Orthogonalized Transmitted- Reference impulse-based UWB system is proposed based on the time-delay and frequency-shifted transmitted-reference impulse- based UWB system. Mathematic derivation and simulation results show that this system has better performance and needs no analog delay element compared with time-delay Transmitted- Reference system, and thus lends itself to miniaturization system design. Compared with Frequency-Shifted Transmitted- Reference system, the performance of this system does not worsen obviously along with the increase of multi-path delay and data rate, which makes it suitable for higher data rate and longer transmission distance.
