A framework for a flexible cutting-process simulation of a nuclear facility decommission

Abstract Current methods for a process simulation cannot simulate the cutting-process flexibly. As is, to simulate a cutting-process, the user needs to prepare the cut product models of the cutting operation based on a cutting path and thickness with respect to a dismantling scenario in advance. In addition, the user need to build these preparations again as the scenario changes, which takes a lot of time. To solve this problem, we proposed a flexible cutting-process simulation methodology containing an automatic cut-product generation in the cutting-process modeling procedure. The cut products are created through CAD operations with the selected device models and the cutting path, which is input by the user. In addition, we implemented the methodology on a commercial system used to test the methodology.
