A proposal for an IPv6 information sharing system for disaster scenes

At disaster scene it is necessary to share information between doctors and rescuers quickly. In this paper, we focus on an ad-hoc network where there is no base station, such as the access point. We propose changing the IP version of the network from IPv4 to IPv6 in order to construct an efficient network. IPv6 has a protocol called neighbor discovery (ND), as specified by RFC2461. This protocol provides neighbor unreachability detection (NUD) which can monitor packet reachability. The experimental results show efficient information sharing performance.
