Ostensive-Inferential Model and Alleviation of Interpreter's Pressure

Interpretation can be regarded as a kind of specific verbal communication in which the interpreters shoulder the huge responsibility.Meanwhile,they are also faced with a lot of pressure generated from various aspects.Started from the features of interpretation,the huge pressure that interpreters are faced with is discussed and the main reason causing the pressure is analyzed.From the perspective of ostensive-inferential model which belongs to relevance theory,the author tries to build up an ostensive-inferential model of interpretation is built up.Which process would bring the pressure to interpreters is found out.By analyzing the process,whether the approaches like building up cognitive context,inferring and prediction according to the relative cognitive context can release the huge pressure from interpreters as much as possible is discussed.
