Real-Time Behavior of Programs

Verification and compile-time checking of the behavior of programs in real time is an important issue in many applications, e.g., process control, lab automation, and monitoring of missiles and vehicles. Present day programming languages and compilers lack the facilities of calculating execution times of programs.
