Temperature and Humidity Measurement

Temperature is not measured in a true sense; it can only be ranged on a scale. To establish a temperature scale, i.e., to assign a numerical value to one temperature, one must choose a body or body system, called a thermometer, which has at least one property that varies with temperature according to a relationship of the form T = f(x), where T is the temperature of the thermometer at the value x of the chosen property.
