A Self-Adjusting Course Caching System in Field of Mobile Learning

One of the main challenges of using mobile devices as a learning platform is the impermanent network environment due to the wireless coverage or wireless link fail. On the other hand, GPRS or 3G telecommunication protocol offer the persistent connectedness of learning, but comparative weak computing power and very limited network bandwidth cause the learning as time-consuming process. Besides, the learning contents become more and more miscellaneous with on-line multimedia presentations, and it is necessary for learners to wait for the learning resources to be downloaded from the remote learning management server. In this paper, we propose a solution, called self-adjusting course caching system, to solve those issues in the field of mobile learning.
