Hold-up time extension Circuit with integrated magnetics

A circuit that substantially extends the hold-up time of ac-dc power supplies is introduced. By using integrated magnetics, the power density of this hold-up time extension circuit is maximized. The performance of the proposed approach was evaluated on a universal line range 1-kW power supply.
