Robustness optimization of ride comfort for vehicle based on 6σ method

A car model with 11 degree of freedoms(DOFs) based on ride comfort was built.With the root mean square(RMS) taking each seat’s acceleration as the optimization objectives,and with the dynamic displacement of each suspension and relative dynamic loads between road and tires as constraint conditions,combined with deterministic multi-objectives optimization method and 6σ robust reliability multi-objectives optimization design method based on Monte Carlo simulation technique,the parameters of suspensions were optimized.The results show that the optimized vehicle’s ride comfort is greatly improved.The 6σ robust reliability multi-objectives optimization design method can get better optimum solutions with higher robustness and reliability.
