cDNA Microarray Image Filtering Using Shape-Adaptive DCT

cDNA microarray technology is an effective, precise and powerful tool in gene research. Image processing is the key part of the technology, it can extract and quantitatively analysis the abundant DNA product. So image filtering has high priority in image processing. The paper provides a novel Shape-Adaptive Discrete Cosine Transform (SA-DCT) filtering method. The method has obvious superiority compared with other widely used filtering methods. The paper gives some simulation examples, and evaluates the filtering results by objective and subjective index. Through analyzing the evaluation index, find that SA-DCT method yields excellent filtering performance. It is a robust and precise method.
