Application of statistical process control to aluminum electrolysis production

In order to reduce the measurement system deviation in aluminum electrolysis production,and detect the abnormity of process parameters,this paper proposes to introduce statistical process control(SPC)into aluminum electrolysis production.The procedure to develop the statistical process control system for aluminum electrolysis is presented.The system detects the abnormity of production process based on measurement data.An improved approach for remedying aluminum level measurement is proposed and the corresponding measurement system is tested.Practical application of the SPC system in East Hope Baotou Rare Earth Aluminum Co.,Ltd.shows that the system can effectively help the process technicians to find abnormal data,correct the measurement system of production process,and thus to maintain the stability of process parameters and reduce energy consumption.
