Building a Commodity Location-based Service at Botanic Garden of University of

Acknowledgements The undergone work became possible due to friendly collaboration of groups of people who I would like to thank and express my respect for their participation and encouragement: Prof. Dr. Schneider, who took the responsibility and bore the expenses of the equipment necessary for the project; Dr. Winterer, who continually advised me throughout the elaboration; Mr. Oberle, whose interest in the project, easy attitude, the most helpful sharing of knowledge, garden experience and enthusiasm, and taking on the organizational matters have often carried on the project through the dead locks; Mr. Schmidt from network group of the University of Freiburg, who partook in the project, installed the hardware, and gave clear explanations and instructions in the subject of my lack of skills; Mr. Schmidt from network group of the botanic garden the work was designed for, who made possible a set of experiments and advised on the network design; Mr. Glunk, who most kindly provided the laptops and enabled the real world trial of the system in botanic garden in the right time; Mr. Mejdoub, who drew a pleasant map of the garden, which should be clear and convenient to the end-users of the system; and many other people who contributed their time and knowledge to the project, and who will contribute even more after this diploma completion. Despite the people whose interest and responsibilities were involved in the project, I am very grateful to my colleagues, who I discussed the details of the work with. In discussions the matter took the shape and completeness. It is first of all Rui Zhou working in related to the subject of this thesis area, who I would like to wish every success in her work. I am also happy to take the opportunity to mention about my close friends, Olga Saukh and Oksana Tymchyshyn, who inspired my spirit in the times of breakdowns of my bi-cameral mind, who took serious my views, who I could look up to and learn from, who did not leave me alone far from my home, relatives, and other people close to my heart but distant to my residence. I was lucky not to loose my beliefs, because you were by my sight-clever, daring, and very warm. I am quite sure that you can do everything you want to, there is nothing that can stop you, or break down. But I still want to take share …
