A Novel Approach for Efficient k-Coverage in Wireless Sensor Networks by Using Genetic Algorithm

Coverage is one of the fundamental issue is wireless sensor networks so k-coverge that means a target location is sensing by k sensor is important, but in WSN low energy consuming is desire so we use off-duty opertion . We propose a method to k-coverage the field. Our target problem is NP-hard. So, we propose a genetic algorithm (GA) to find solution that is a near optimal solution. In our method, the maximum monitored area fully covered by a minimum active sensors.
