Design of a Human Movement Representation Incorporating Dynamics

Characteristics of a human movement representation are discussed, including distinctions between hierarchic levels and interacting features. Representations for dynamic as well as spatial properties are necessary for effective performance (simulation) of movement. Connections are demonstrated between dynamic properties of several sorts and an existing qualitative notation system called “Effort-Shape.”
